What is Guts & Gears?
Guts & Gears is a 25pt Tournament format for Warmachine and Hordes. Armies are comprised of 1 Warcaster (Warmachine) or 1 Warlock (Hordes) and any number of additional Warjacks (Warmachine) or Warbeasts (Hordes) following normal Field Allowance (FA) limits from a chosen faction. In addition each player is allowed to take either: A) One Unit available to their chosen faction; B) One Solo available to their chosen faction.
Players may not take Mercenary or Minion models unless they are using either a Mercenary or Minion Warcaster or Warlock to lead their army. Players who have chosen to include a unit may include any applicable Unit or Weapon attachments allowed.

Congrats on being back on board! I wish the guys around here still had an interest in WM and/or Hordes, I'd like to do some again, but alas, too many irons in the fire.

Right now I am playing in 2 soon to be 3 FOW Leagues/Campaigns (LW, EW, and soon MW) on Wednesday, Thursdays, and the occasional Saturday, trying to play Malifaux Tuesday nights, Fantasy every other Thursday, and get my fledgling local Warmachine crew ready for the tournament above and the first league of the season which is coming up starting 2/7.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to play in the tourney, but a) can't bring myself to make the $ investment in the game and b) have no clue what the rules changes are. We need to set up a boarding action game time for January or early February.
