However like many felt about 7th ed fantasy, a lot of the rules for the model are way out of balance, or so I felt.

Really it came down to are you playing X, Y, or Z? Oh you are? Great. You win. No need to spend the next few hours being tortured by that crew just to get humiliated with an 0-8 loss.

The big thing I didn't like was that there was a plethora of models that I felt destroyed the fun of the game and kept me from using my models at all. Not kill my stuff necessarily, just prevent me from playing the game. When your turn is move one model, do something, take a bunch of wounds because to tried to, flick your opponent off and then let them start their next turn it is time to stop playing that game.

4 out of 5 games were like that for me at the end, 5 out of 5 in tournament play. It could just be that my community is very competitive, as the guy that won all the Adepticon Tournaments and several of the higher placer at Adepticon and Gencon this year all play at my LGS (and there are several who are just as good or better that weren't at Gencon or Adepticon).

It could also be that I am finding I just don't enjoy skirmish games as much as conflict and mass combat games like Warmachine, Flames of War, and Mantic and GW games.HuronBHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03627538019185831412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-890878930473817108.post-23359673805148999332011-08-19T13:45:44.136-04:002011-08-19T13:45:44.136-04:00I am also curious about what made you drop Malifau...I am also curious about what made you drop Malifaux.

I am glad that you are still attending.
